FAQ

  • What ages do you teach?

Lessons are suitable for children, teens and adults, from complete beginners to more experienced players who want to deepen their theory and musical understanding.

  • Do I need any experience to start?

No prior experience is needed for beginner guitar or starter theory lessons. Everything is broken down step by step, with a focus on building confidence and enjoyment rather than putting pressure on you to be “good” straight away.

  • I’m on a low income. Can I still learn?

Yes. Inclusion is central to the way lessons are offered, with flexible pricing and some subsidised or low‑cost spaces reserved for people who would otherwise struggle to access music education. If money is a concern, you are encouraged to reach out and talk it through.

  • Do I have to commit to a long‑term plan?

No. You can start with a single lesson or short block to see how it feels. If it’s a good fit, there are standard plans that make costs predictable, but there is always room to adjust if your circumstances change.

  • What can I expect in a typical lesson?

Each lesson is tailored to your level and goals, usually mixing practical playing, clear explanation, and simple take‑away tasks so you know what to work on between sessions. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, with space to ask questions and move at a pace that feels right.

  • Do you teach online or in person?

Lessons can be offered in person (where practical) and/or online, depending on what works best for your location, access needs and schedule. Both formats are designed to feel structured, friendly and low‑stress, so you can focus on the music.
